ISPS - Crew Onboard Familiarisation Brief

Code No 978

Time: 47 Mins

Although most organisations/companies have sent there employees on ISPS Courses (CSO, SSO, PFSO Cse) - What About the Crew?

This training programme is aimed specifically at supporting the Ship Security Officer onboard with basic ISPS crew training requirements. It supports a crew security familiarisation brief using visual pictures, working in conjunction with the crew safety familiarisation brief. The brief covers all the requirements of crew with specific security duties and crew with non specific security duties as stipulated by the ISPS Code; Part B, paragraphs 13.3 and 13.4.

The programme provides short instructional visual sessions covering several aspects of the implied requirements of the main body of the ISPS Code, e.g. various aspects of searching. These instructional techniques can be used during onboard training periods, but most importantly provide continuity of training on all vessels within a fleet/company either to ship owners or ship managers.
