Senior Flash Actionscript Developer
About the Job
A passionate Actionscript 3 developer with at least two year’s commercial experience working with as3 is required to join our creative development team for a range of exiting projects.
You will have a thorough knowledge of Actionscript 3 supported by extensive experience in strongly typed Actionscript 2 in well formed class structures rather than time-line development.
The role will involve working with an existing AS3 framework so a strong understanding of object orientation is essential. This means being able to understand and implement, inheritance, composition, and interfacing with an intelligent anaylsis and optimal approach to creative solutions and problem solving.
The successful candidate will be working for an award winning, world leading training provider as part of a small dedicated team to develop interactive educational materials for the web and CD/DVD ROM, working with the learning management systems that support them. You will also be required to perform updates and enhancements to our existing catalogue of programs. The successful applicant will be a good team player with a flexible and creative approach to challenges.
Essential Skills
- Extensive commercial experience of: Actionscript 3, Actionscript 2
- Knowledge and experience of dynamic data handling using XML and server side technologies and databases.
Desirable Skills
- Flex, CSS, PHP, Web services, Microsoft Access, MySQL, SQL
- Java, Red5-communication server, Zinc (MDM), Air.
- Appreciation of design and knowledge of design software
- Macromedia Director & Lingo and associated Xtras such as Buddy API and Rosetta.
