VIDEOTEL Marine International has further strengthened its reputation as the international market leader in the provision of quality computer, video and DVD-based training packages and courses for the maritime industry after triple recognition in the recent Communicator Awards in the USA.

Videotel’s Leadership & Management Course won the Communicator Awards Crystal Award of Excellence in the External Communications/Education Category. The course is an exciting new multimedia, self-study course for ships’ officers. It is based on a comprehensive CD-ROM course which focuses not only on the skills needed by managers at sea, but also on the skills required by junior officers. The course acts as a stepping-stone to more formal management training. It is a ‘How To’ product that really does show users how to achieve a level of excellence in their chosen profession.

Videotel also achieved an Award of Distinction in the Communicator Awards External Communications/Training category for its Navigating in Ice training package, which provides comprehensive advice on best practice when operating in ice-bound waters.

And another Award of Distinction was claimed by Videotel’s Port Facility Security Officer training package, produced with the IMO, it provides vital training in connection with the requirements of the ISPS Code in today’s security-conscious shipping industry.
