Can I trial the program for more than 21 days? 
If you have exceeded the 21 day trial period and feel you have not had enough time to evaluate the program, we can extend the trial period. This is done on a case by case basis, please follow the instructions for "How do I unlock the program". Please mention you are requesting a trial extension in your correspondence to Videotel Support.
How do I unlock the program?
If you purchased the program or rented it as part of your Library Rental Scheme, then you can install and unlock the program on one computer. Please complete the following steps:
1. Install the program on the most suitable computer for training
2. Start the program
3. Select "Purchase" on the first window
4. Progress through the screens until you get to one which displays a "Request Code", this is unique for each computer.
5. Send the following information to Videotel by e-mail, telephone or fax:
- Program name and version
- "Request Code"
- Company or college name (and location, if more than one)
- Ship name & IMO number (if applicable)
- Contact name
- E-mail address
- Telephone number

6. Videotel will reply with a "Response Code" and instructions for completing the unlocking process.
Can I install and unlock the program on more than one computer?
Each purchased or rented program is licensed for installation on one computer. If you would like to install and unlock the program on additional computers, please contact for information about purchasing additional licenses.
What do I enter for User Name and User ID when the program starts?
The User Name and ID you enter keeps your records separate from those of other users on the same computer. We suggest you enter your name as it is shown on your Seaman's Identity Card. If your company has issued a training ID number, please use it. Otherwise, choose an ID that is unique, will not change and contains any combination of letters and numbers (maximum 15), perhaps your Seaman’s ID Number.
Tech Note 1:
Some Windows 2000, XP Home and XP Pro users have reported the following error, or similar, while starting Safety Officer Training version 1.0.
"(1615:7) An error occurred while attempting to install the C-Dilla License
Management System. NT users should log on with administrators rights and run
this application again. If problems persist please restart your machine."
Solution:
Updating the C-Dilla License Management System should correct the problem. Please complete the following steps:
1. Create a new folder on your desktop.
2. Click currentlms.zip, the following window should appear.
4. Click "Save" and download the file "currentlms.zip" into the folder you created in step 1
5. When the download is complete, locate the file "currentlms.zip" and unzip its contents into the folder created in step 1
6. Locate and run the file CdSet32.exe
7. Start Safety Officer Training and follow the onscreen instructions
